iPhone 12 Leak Suggests First Compact Bezel-less Design from Apple - HYPEBEAST

New leaks revolving around Apple’s highly-anticipated iPhone 12 now suggests that two models will be arriving to replace the iPhone 11, both carrying a bezel-less design.

According to new information from Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech, Apple is planning on releasing two, instead of one, new devices to overtake its current iPhone 11 offering: the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max. Both of them are said to swap out the previous LCD display with OLED counterparts, which not only allow for better contrast ratios and deeper blacks but also battery saving qualities. Most significantly,  they’ll come in a bezel-less design similar to that of the iPhone 11 Pro. Measuring 5.4-inches wide, the iPhone 12 and 12 Max will become Apple’s first compact bezel-less smartphone. While there’ll be no 2x optical zoom for its cameras, as well as a lack of a LiDAR sensor necessary for mapping 3D environments during augmented reality applications, it will come equipped with the tech giant’s new A14 chipset, 5G support, and potentially the lowest price tag offered by the company in years. The regular iPhone 12 will retail for roughly $650 USD for 128GB and $750 USD for 256GB, while the iPhone 12 Max will run for $750 USd for 128GB and $850 USD for 256GB.

On top of the two aforementioned models, Apple will also be launching two higher-tiered Pro models, dubbed the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The two will be equipped with Samsung OLED displays measuring in at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches respectively, boasting the Super Retina XDR tag but updated with 120Hz ProMotion technology and 10-bit color depth, which translates to support for one billion colors, a massive improvement from the 16.7 million covered by the iPhone 11 Pro’s 8-bit panel. Both will also carry a triple-camera setup with LiDAR sensors. Prices are said to go from $1,000 USD for 128GB, $1,100 USD for 256GB, and $1,300 USD for 512GB for the iPhone 12 Pro, while the iPhone 12 Pro Max will go for $1,100 USD for 128GB, $1,200 USD for 256GB, and $1,400 USD for 512GB.

In other tech news, Uber stocks prices surged despite a $2.9 billion USD net loss in Q1 2020.
