The wait is finally over. After a year of feverish rumours, Apple has just announced the newest iPhone 15 series of smartphones, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as a new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
As expected, Apple ditched the lightning port from all four iPhones, brought the Dynamic Island to every device, replaced the mute button with an action button on the Pro-line of smartphones, and gave them a brushed titanium design. There were, as always, new camera upgrades as well.
But while there weren’t many surprises to chew on, the improved ultra-wideband tech was intriguing, with Apple showing off a way for users to get precise turn-by-turn directions directly to their friends, and the shiny natural, white, black and blue titanium colours were a highlight.
The new common-or-garden variety iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus also became a lot more enticing, borrowing a host of features from last year’s Pro model handsets. There’s a 48MP main camera, increased from 12MP, with users now being able to toggle on and off Portrait Mode (even if they didn’t take a picture with it originally).
And, while Apple didn’t announce this on-stage, it appears that three of the iPhone 15 models have had hefty price cuts in the UK, making the models as much as £100 cheaper than last year’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro handsets. Here’s how much each of the iPhone 15 handsets cost, when you can pre-order them and the best carrier deals.
Apple iPhone 15 price: How much does the 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max cost?
While we might not have been an expecting an iPhone 15 price hike, we certainly weren’t expecting a price cut. Although all of the iPhone 15 handsets are remaining the same price in the US, they are coming down in price here in the UK.
The base iPhone 15 starts from just £799 for the 128GB model, while the iPhone 15 Plus starts from just £899. That’s a welcome £50 price cut over the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus from last year. The iPhone 15 Pro received an even bigger price cut.
The iPhone 15 Pro starts from £999 for the 128GB model – that’s a whole £100 cheaper than the iPhone 14 Pro at launch last year. And while the iPhone 15 Pro Max costs the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max at launch (£1,199), the iPhone 15 Pro Max went up in price in the US, but it stayed the same here in the UK.

The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available to pre-order starting from 1pm BST on Friday 15 September 2023 from the Apple Store. They will then start shipping out on Friday 22 September 2023.

If you trade in your current iPhone at Apple, you can receive up to £715 in Apple credit towards your new iPhone 15. If you’d prefer to wait for the phone carrier deals, these should start launching on 15 September. We predict carrier deals to be better this year than they were for the iPhone 14, given the lower UK price tags.
Mobile phone carriers don’t usually announce their iPhone 15 deals until pre-order day, which is on 15 September, but some mobile networks have already revealed iPhone 15 details ahead of time. Sky Mobile is also the first carrier to announce its best prices on each handset.
Best Sky Mobile iPhone 15 deals
Sky Mobile is the first mobile phone carrier to announce its deals this year. The carrier offered some of the top deals for the iPhone 14 Pro Max launch last year, and it appears to be bettering those benefits once more for the iPhone 15.
Sky has announced that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will cost £39 per month, the iPhone 15 Pro will cost £33 per month, the iPhone 15 will cost £26 per month and the iPhone 15 Plus will cost £33 per month. You do need to add on a data plan, but the carrier is offering double data for a limited time. That means you’ll only pay £8 a month for 8GB of data instead of £8 a month for 4GB.
Plus, there are other perks included if you take out a contract with Sky Mobile, including Sky’s piggybank system, which rolls your unused data into a virtual pot that you can share with your family. Additionally, users won’t be subject to pesky mid-contract price hikes, and you’ll also have the ability to stream Sky Go, Sky Sports and more without it eating into any data.
Sky Mobile’s iPhone 15 pre-order deals will go live on Friday 15 September at 1pm BST, with handsets being dispatched on 22 September.

Best EE iPhone 15 deals
EE has announced that customers will be able to pre-order the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus starting from Friday 15 September. While it has yet to reveal any deals, the phone carrier has announced that it will be offering the Apple One bundle subscription as part of its Full Works for iPhones package.
If you opt for the Full Works plan, you’ll get Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and 50GB of iCloud+ for 24 months, as well as unlimited data and a dataRoam Abroad Pass. To get an idea of the value of these perks, EE claims that the benefits are worth £766 all together. The iPhone 15 deals should land this Friday, and we’ll be cherry picking the best ones.
Best Vodafone iPhone 15 deals
Vodafone has revealed that customers will be able to pre-order all four iPhone 15 handsets from Friday 15 September. While it has yet to reveal its deals, you’ll be able to take out a plan on Vodafone EVO, which lets customers choose their own monthly price, up-front cost, as well as their contract length – anything from three to 36 months. You can also trade in your current device to make your iPhone 15 purchase cheaper.
The company also runs a buy back scheme that guarantees you a set price if you want to trade in your iPhone 15 for the iPhone 16 in 2024. We’ll update this page when Vodafone launches its iPhone 15 deals, but you can pre-register your interest now.
Best O2 iPhone 15 deals
O2 hasn’t announced its pre-order deals yet, but the mobile phone network has said that its iPhone 15 deals will be going live on Friday 15 September. All of O2’s device plans last 36 months as standard, but they unlink after 24 months, so you can pay the rest off sooner and upgrade if you wish.
You can also trade-in your current device to lower the cost of your monthly plan. We’ll update this page with the best deals once they go live on Friday.
Best Three iPhone 15 deals
Like O2, Three has not announced any extra information about its iPhone 15 deals, just that the carrier will be going live with pre-orders on Friday 15 September. You can pre-register your interest so that you’re the first to know once the iPhone 15 deals are released.
Best Mobiles.co.uk iPhone 15 deals
Mobiles.co.uk has yet to release any information about its iPhone 15 pre-order deals. But the online mobile phone shop had some of the best iPhone 14 deals last year, so it’s a good one to keep an eye on. You can register your interest, and the company will send its best deals to your email when pre-orders open on Friday 15 September.

What iPhone pre-order deals were there last year?
Taking a peek at last year’s iPhone 14 carrier deals can offer up some insight as to which carriers will be offering the best deals on the iPhone 15 this Friday.
The best iPhone 14 Pro Max deal we spotted last year was from Sky Mobile. The phone carrier was offering the handset for £40 per month on a 36-month contract with no up-front cost. You had to add on a data plan, with a 2GB plan costing £6. Altogether, you paid £46 over 36 months.
Deals on the iPhone 14 Pro, however, were a little lacklustre. Three had a £72 24-month contract deal on the handset. You had to pay £70 up-front, but it came with unlimited data. We’re hoping for better iPhone 15 Pro options this year.
If you were looking for an iPhone 14 deal, Mobiles.co.uk had a pretty appetising 24-month contract on offer. You had to pay £99 up-front, but after that, you’d only pay £39.99 a month and received 100GB of data. That’s a very good deal, and it should be even better for the iPhone 15 since it’s cheaper.
We barely saw any iPhone 14 Plus contract deals at launch, though Mobile Phones Direct was offering the larger iPhone for £54 per month with a £9 up-front cost. You got 100GB of data, which was pretty decent. We’re expecting to see more iPhone 15 Plus contract deals at launch, given that it was a new configuration for Apple last year.
