If history repeats itself then a shiny new iPhone could be unveiled by Apple within weeks. The US technology giant is famed for unleashing its yearly gadget upgrades in September and there's nothing to suggest that 2023 will be any different. In fact, Mirror Online has recently predicted the date we think the iPhone 15 will be revealed and, if we're right, there's not long left to wait.
With a launch looking imminent, the rumours about this upcoming smartphone are arriving thick and fast with the latest gossip suggesting that users will be treated to much faster refills thanks to a huge change to the charging port.
It's long been thought that Apple will ditch its famous Lightning socket on its next-generation smartphone and switch to standard USB-C technology instead.
This port is already included on most iPads and MacBooks and with new EU laws banning the sale of devices without USB-C from next year, it appears Apple thinks now is the perfect time to introduce it to the iPhone.
Although the change will mean all of your old Lightning cables become obsolete, there could be one big advantage of using USB-C as it appears refilling the device will be faster.
According to a report from the Apple experts at 9to5mac, the iPhone 15 will be compatible with 35W charging speeds - that's compared to the current 27W technology included on the iPhone 14.
Although this upgrade is yet to be confirmed it's likely to mean topping up the tank won't take as long which is good news for anyone who is constantly running low on juice.
Along with USB-C charging, it's expected that the iPhone 15 will continue to be compatible with wireless refilling which allows owners to add power by simply laying their device on a charging pad.
Hopefully, we'll find out full details soon but faster battery boost may not be the only new feature.
It's also thought Apple will reduce the size of the bezels around the display and include a faster processor under its glass and metal shell.
Longer battery life, improved cameras and new colours are also expected - the Pro models could also be covered in tough titanium to help improve longevity.
If Apple is to announce its new iPhones in September, expect a launch date to be revealed in the coming days.
Mirror Online will bring you all of the latest iPhone 15 news as soon as we hear more.
