BBC Radio Merseyside's Paul Salt has announced he is stepping down from the breakfast show.
The broadcaster has fronted the early morning show since he replaced Tony Snell in 2020. Paul has taken to Twitter to issue a statement as he confirmed tomorrow will be his last breakfast show.
He said: "I'm sorry to say tomorrow will be my last Breakfast show. As you know there's going to be a few changes to BBC Merseyside. I've loved the last 2 and a half years and I'm really proud the audience has continued to grow on breakfast. I just wanted to say thanks for listening."

Leanne and Jenny are also leaving breakfast I'd like to thank them for all they've done. They've been a pleasure to work with.
"We're all a bit gutted but have to respect the decision. I hope we made a difference. Thank you Salty."
Paul also announced the news on today's edition of the breakfast show and has since been flooded with supportive messages.

A listener named Kerry said: "Very sad to hear this. Love your show - informative, warm, compassionate and entertaining. The perfect blend"
