Xbox "Edinburgh" codename fuels speculation of another Xbox console - TrueAchievements

A codename for "Xbox Edinburgh" has been found in Microsoft's Game Development Kit which has sparked rumours about a third next-gen Xbox console — possibly an all-digital Xbox Series X.
The codename was spotted by software developer and reverse engineer @bllyhlbrt over on Twitter where he uploaded a few screenshots of the Xbox One OS. The Edinburgh codename appears in one of the images alongside "Anaconda" the Xbox Series X codename and the mysterious "Lockhart", which is rumoured to be a second console that will be revealed in August. The codename "Count" can also be seen in the screenshot.

As of yet, nobody has any idea what these two codenames could mean. Journalist Jez Cordon of Windows Central points out that "Xbox Edinburgh" could be something as simple like an xCloud server blade and urges fans not to get too excited.

Microsoft is yet to formally acknowledge Lockhart's existence, but it's been rumoured that the company will be unveiling the console in an Xbox 20/20 in August. The next big Inside Xbox show will take place at some point this month, but that will be a first-party games showcase. It's rumoured that secretive Xbox studio The Initiative will be debuting its first game.
