Microsoft just gave you a big reason to update your Windows 10 laptop - Express

If you were thinking of upgrading your powered PC then now might be a good time to go (online) shopping. has just announced the official release of its latest devices which include the ultra-portable Surface Go 2 and more premium Surface Book 3.

If these machines sound of interest then here's what each device offers and what you'll find included on the spec sheet.

SURFACE GO 2

This portable tablet-style PC brings a 10.5-inch PixelSense display and lightweight design to your hands. The 2020 model now gets improved battery life and better performance with Microsoft boasting that users will see a speed gain of up to 64 percent.

SURFACE BOOK 3

The new Surface Book 3 replaces the current Book 2 and brings more power to the Microsoft laptop with a detachable screen. In fact, the US technology firm says users will see gains of up to 50 per cent when using this upgraded machine.

That's thanks to the inclusion of 10th Generation Intel Core processors and choice of discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX or Quadro RTX GPUs.

Battery life is also impressive with this machine capable of lasting for 17.5 hours on a single charge.

The Surface Book 3 arrives in two sizes with both 13-inch or 15-inch PixelSense Displays available at launch.

Surface Book 3 starts from £1,599 and will be available starting May 21.

Along with those PCs, Microsoft will also begin shipping its new headphones in the coming weeks.

The latest on-ear Surface Headphones 2 cost £239.99 and offer premium sound and comfort.

There's also 13 levels of ambient noise control and all-day battery.

One other unique feature is screen-free integration with Microsoft 365 which lets users catch up on emails with Play My Emails in the Outlook Mobile App for iOS or allow you to dictate in Word, Outlook or PowerPoint.

If you want something a little more subtle on your ears then there's also the launch of the new Surface Earbuds. These wireless in-ear headphones offer a similar experience to Apple's AirPods with a comfortable fit and long battery life.

These also get the screen-free integration and touch controls mean you should never need to reach for your phone.

They are out later this month and cost £199.99.
