Monster Hunter Wilds was given its first proper gameplay trailer during the latest State of Play, and as ever, we're finding it very, very difficult to doubt Capcom. While it isn't raw footage, all the hallmarks of a proper Monster Hunter title are there, and we get to see some new beasts to boot.
It's already apparent that this is the proper successor to Monster Hunter World, both in its more 'realistic' art direction and what looks like it could be a full open world structure. Plus, there's a clear emphasis on the hunter and prey relationships between monsters; we're expecting impressively fleshed-out ecosystems here.
Monster Hunter Wilds is still set for a PS5 release in 2025, but are you feeling the hype? Call your squad and make a camp in the comments section below.
