Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 might already have had its logo and key art leak ahead of a 2022 release.
Modern Warfare 2 is still over a year away from release, but leaked details have surfaced on the game earlier than usual.
Yesterday, VGC reported many new details on next year’s Call of Duty entry, including campaign, multiplayer, Warzone, and its apparent Hazard Zone-like third mode.
Details have also surfaced from Twitter user RalphsValve, in which both VGC and GamingINTEL understand is legitimate information, but subject to change due to the game’s active development.
This year’s title, currently dubbed as “Modern Warfare II”, is set to take the fight to the Colombian drug cartels and be a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2019.
Specific details on the game including weapons, maps, perks, killstreaks, etc. should currently be treated as rumors. It’s understood that Modern Warfare 2 is currently going through its cutting stage.

Modern Warfare 2 Logo Leak
The games logo, which has been mocked up by me by using current Modern Warfare 2019 assets and a color picker can be seen below:
Although that box art for the game has currently not been designed, it’s understood that this year’s title will be taking on a blue theme.
Disclaimer: This image is not official and is a mockup.

Call of Duty 2022 Key Art
Some of the game’s art sent to me depicts six individual soldiers from Task Force 141 front-facing the camera, with one soldier standing on top of a rubber inflatable that the soldiers have seemingly just exited.
The soldiers are ankle-high in water, with a light blue smoke filling the scene.
What’s noticeably clear in the image being described, is that you can feel the tense situation the soldiers are in, as they move towards their objective.
Although there’s confidence with our sources, information should be taken with a grain of salt until officially announced by Activision.
It’s interesting to see that Modern Warfare 2 has more hype than Vanguard even just days before launch! But this isn’t entirely surprising, given that many consider Black Ops Cold War to be a downgrade from Modern Warfare before it.
We’ve been seeing rumors of a Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Multiplayer mode coming in 2021 for some time. However, now that Activision will be announcing Infinity Ward’s newest project soon, we’re doubtful it’ll ever release.
What’s more, we have new details on the next Call of Duty Black Ops title, which should be coming in 2023!
