Assassin's Creed Valhalla's next expansion, The Siege of Paris will be released this summer, and there are even more expansions planned for the game's second year ahead.
Show off during today's Ubisoft Forward E3 conference, the French expansion has been billed as covering the “most ambitious battle in Viking History” as Eivor and their warband attack the French capital. It also brings back the return of black box infiltration missions, as well as new weapons, abilities, skills, and gear. We didn't get a release date during the presentation beyond "this summer," unfortunately.
But we did get a tease of more new expansions for the game's second year, including a tease of Eivor preparing for another encounter with Odin, and an image of a mysterious portal. We also It will be the first time an Assassin's Creed game gets expansions in its second year.
We also learned about a new Discovery Tour for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla coming in the fall. The combat-free historical experience will let players take on different roles, playing characters in both Norway and England and "take part in their big and small adventures."
The Siege of Paris is the second expansion for the game following the Wrath of the Druids add-on. We said a "strong Irish story and a few interesting battles amid a sea of run-of-the-mill recycled quests make Wrath of the Druids worth a return trip to Assassin's Creed Valhalla," in our 7/10 review.
