The P40 Pro is about to be outclassed by something new from Huawei - Express

The all-new , but it may soon be made to look massively inferior. That's because Huawei could be poised to launch a revamped P40 Pro+ flagship with some blockbuster upgrades, including a stunning design update and improved camera features.

The P40 Pro+ was announced alongside the P40, but Huawei kept quiet about when we'd get to see this super-sized version of the handset. However, a number of tech publications, including trustworthy GSM Arena, have just received sample devices which suggests a launch could be imminent.

So what bonus features does the P40 Pro+ include that you won't find on the standard P40 Pro? Well, there are actually a few standout changes that could make this the best phone Huawei has ever made.

Firstly, the P40 Pro+ gets a striking new Ceramic finish in black or white. That may not sound all that impressive but this case design is so complex each device takes around four days for Huawei to create.

Then there's the camera with the plus model now including a pixel-packed 100X SuperZoom which is double what the Pro 40 can manage.

It's unclear how well this lens will work when trying to shoot long-range images but the addition of this camera helps the Pro+ compete with the Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra which also features similar technology.

If you want more space to store all of your photos and videos then Huawei's new device will also offer an improved experience with it arriving with a whopping 512GB of memory - that's double the memory of the P40 Pro.

Finally, there's faster wireless charging as the Pro+ supports Huawei's SuperCharge technology up to a max of 40 Watts. Whilst the P40 Pro can also be SuperCharged this can only be performed via a wired connection.

Along with all those added features, the P40 Pro+ also gets the same stunning 6.58-inch 90Hz curved display found on the P40 Pro. Then there's that fast Kirin 990 processor and access to 5G data speeds.

There's no official word on a release for this phone and Huawei's website isn't showing a pre-order date just yet but, with review units beginning to ship, expect more news in the coming weeks.

One final point to note is that, like the P40 Pro, the Pro+ won't include any of Google's apps or services. As you , this is a major issue for Huawei and despite the gorgeous hardware that lack of Google Maps, Gmail, Google Photos and the Play Store may put many off buying one of these phones.
