An experiment posted on the website Reddit has gone viral after it appeared to demonstrate that a blurry photo of the moon was enhanced with details that were not originally there. The post has sparked a debate on what constitutes genuine photography and also highlighted the extent to which AI plays a part in composing pictures on modern smartphones.
