UPDATE 19.13pm: Those patiently awaiting confirmation from Sony before making frenzied red rings around Thursday on their calendar now have the permission they were looking to circle away. Its PlayStation 5 games reveal livestream, as confirmed by the PlayStation Twitter feed, is officially set for this Thursday, 11th June, at 9pm in the UK.

ORIGINAL STORY 5.21pm: Sony's PlayStation 5 games reveal livestream, which was postponed last week, will now take place this Thursday, according to a new advert that's surfaced on Twitch.
The company had initially scheduled its games reveal for last Thursday, but made the decision to push the event back to a then-undisclosed later date in response to the Black Lives Matter protests taking place around the globe following the police killing of George Floyd.
"While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games," it wrote at the time, "we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard".
Now, however, a revised broadcast date has been spotted in a new advert running on Twitch - first highlighted on Resetera but now being widely disseminated across the streaming service - revealing that Sony will host its delayed showcase this Thursday, 11th June, at 9pm in the UK.

Assuming plans haven't changed since the company initially detailed the show at the end of May, proceedings should last around an hour and will focus on "the games you'll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday".
"The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe," wrote PlayStation boss Jim Ryan in his introduction to the event, "Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware."
Sony has yet to officially confirm the revised date, but I'll update this story as more emerges.
