A couple who spent their careers at Apple attaching us to iPhones are now trying to prise us away from phones and screens with the first major AI consumer device.
The AI Pin, from US start-up Humane, is a wearable that clips to your clothes and with which you can converse like an assistant. It has a phone, camera, microphone, speaker and sensors, but crucially no screen, only a laser projector which you can beam onto your hand.
It is being billed as an answer to screen addiction and a way to reintroduce face-to-face connection, while still using technology.
