TimeSplitters 2 full game unlock found in Homefront: The Revolution - TrueAchievements

Homefront: The Revolution is hiding away a native 4K port of TimeSplitters 2, but the unlock code had been lost. Now, the code seems to have been found, along with others.

Last week, ex-Dambuster developer Matt Phillips let the Twitterverse know that there’s a full native 4K port of TimeSplitters 2 hidden within Homefront: The Revolution. The port can be found within an arcade machine, allowing players to access two of the game's story missions — that much was already known, along with the TimeSplitters 2 files being hidden amongst Homefront's. But Phillips said that TimeSplitters 2 is fully playable if you have the code to unlock it… which he mentioned possibly didn’t exist anymore, due to no longer having the notebook he wrote it down on.

“If, and that’s a big if, anyone was able to hack two or more arcades into one of the co-op maps, it’ll boot to the menu,” says Phillips when discussing another way to access TimeSplitters 2's multiplayer maps. This, as you would expect, sparked a search for clues, with fans digging through the game’s files for any way to access the Easter egg. Between a missing code, and a possible hack to enter the TimeSplitters 2 multiplayer maps, a global search began to uncover the game’s secrets, and now it's been cracked (thanks, Polygon).

The original unlock code was posted by Spencer Perreault, who replied to Phillips' comment about the code being lost to time. Only two days later, modder Lance McDonald managed to find all of the access codes by reverse-engineering the game's menus. To access the TimeSplitters 2 port, you will need to access these codes while in the level select menu:
